Squadron Energy on the ball

SQUADRON Energy’s Sapphire Wind Farm has thrown its support behind the AFL North West by becoming the League’s official ball sponsor.
The Squadron Energy logo will be displayed on footballs that will be used through the AFL North West finals series as well as during the representative matches being played at the end of June.
Sapphire Wind Farm Operations Manager David Williamson said forming a partnership with AFL North West NSW was a great way to give back to the community.
“We’re glad we could support the AFL North West which is a growing sport in the North West region with a family friendly community,” Mr Williamson said.
“Squadron Energy is also growing in the region and our support for many organisations, such as the AFL North West, shows that we are always striving to ensure as many people as possible reap the benefits from our projects.”
The Sapphire Wind Farm is located on Ngarabal Country, 18km west of Glen Innes, and is one of the largest operational wind farms in New South Wales.
Brad Greenshields, the AFL’s Community Football & Competition Manager for Northern NSW, said forming a partnership with Squadron Energy and having the logo placed on match balls is an exciting development for the League.
“Having Squadron Energy come on board as the League’s ball sponsor is a tremendous filip,” Mr Greenshields said.
“The AFL North West is thrilled to be partnering with a company that has similar, family friendly values and we feel this can be the start of a long standing relationship.”
