There’s been a positive vibe coming from the Tamworth Kangaroos over the pre-season.
The club is stopping a long way short of declaring themselves premiership contenders but the Kangaroos have been quietly going about their business, laying a platform of hard work that more often than not creates success.
Both the men’s and women’s teams were knocked out in the first week of the finals in 2022 but improvement seems well within reach for both.
In an AFL North West first, the Kangaroos have engaged a father-daughter combination to coach the women’s team.
Stu and Emily Goldfinch will take a collaborative approach to leading the women while also offering support to men’s playing-coach Matthew Hall.
