THOSE with heart issues should’ve been advised to stay away from Varley Oval on Saturday.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but nerves were jangling throughout Preliminary Final Day as both matches went down to the wire.
The New England Nomads progressed through to the Men’s Grand Final with a thrilling 1 point victory over Inverell. The Saints were on the right side of the ledger in the Women’s contest with Inverell holding off a fast finishing Tamworth Swans to get into the Grand Final courtesy of a 4 point win.
That means this Saturday’s Grand Finals at the Tamworth No.1 will see Gunnedah and Inverell meet in the women’s match while the Tamworth Swans will host the Nomads to decide the men’s premier.
