Roadshow sets the tone for coming season

A highly successful Education Roadshow was staged on Sunday with over 30 extremely keen participants taking the chance to upskill themselves ahead of the 2020 season.

Separate programs were run for administrators, coaches, umpires, and Auskick Co-ordinators to ensure that these key roles in all footy clubs had the chance to build their knowledge base and set the scene for a successful season.

Prior to breaking into the separate groups all participants came together to define the League’s Values and Behaviours that all involved in local footy will be expected to adhere to. Further information on this important piece of work will be provided through footy clubs in the near future.

Clubs that are run professionally by people with a high level of knowledge find it easier to recruit and retain players. Programs like the Education Roadshow are just one of the ways that AFL NSW/ACT commits to supporting people in local clubs to provide the best environment possible for participants.

Sessions at the Roadshow were conducted by AFL NSW/ACT staff, as well as local experts in their field.

Copies of the presentations from each of the four programs are available at aflnorthwestnsw.com.au/education-roadshow-2020/.
