HAVING claimed the men’s premiership from fourth place on the ladder, the New England Nomads are looking for a more consistent level of performance throughout the 2023 home and away season.

The reigning premier will start its season at home against rival Inverell and the Nomads will benefit from having a more settled line-up than usual.

Due to the comings and goings of University life, the Nomads find it hard to maintain a steady squad but there’s stability at the top this year with Clarrie Barker once again being captain-coach and getting assistance from Fraser Menzies and Harry Dobson.

The women’s team will again be coached by Lindsay Brown and the team will have a lot of players new to the sport giving footy a go for the first time.
