Lachlan to lead participation in the North West

A NEW Participation Co-ordinator for the North West region has been appointed.

Many will know Lachlan Bennetts-Inkster through his strong involvement with the Tamworth Swans but from July 1 the North West region will also be working with him in his AFL capacity.

Lachie will be taking over the role from Khobi Devine who kicked many goals in the position before gaining a promotion to be an AFL Diversity Lead in Sydney.

Lachie will no doubt hit the ground running being able to call on his past experience working in the AFL having been a Development Officer in Sydney from August 2018 to November 2020.

Participation Lead for Northern NSW, Matt Crawley, said there was a highly competitive field of candidates for the position but is excited to see Lachie bring his attributes and experience to the role to further develop footy in the region.

“His extensive experience in AFL, including playing, captaining, and coaching both in Sydney and the North West, along with his current role as the playing coach of the Tamworth Swans Senior Men’s team makes him an invaluable addition to the team,” Crawley said.

“Lachie is a respected figure in the community and is eager to bring his passion for our industry to this role.”
