Girls clinics set to have AFLW involvement
Sydney Swans AFLW player Alice Mitchell will be the special guest at three girls come and try clinics to be run across the weekend.
Mitchell is returning to the region to help grow girls’ participation numbers in the code ahead of the start of the Youth Girls 17 competition in the 2023 season. As someone who has lived and played AFL in the region, Alice is a fantastic role model and all girls are encouraged to get along to a session to rub shoulders and learn the skills of the game from her.
The sessions will be held on the following dates and times:
- Armidale – Friday 10 March (3:45pm to 4:45pm) at NEGS Junior Sports Field (parking off St Johns Avenue)
- Inverell – Saturday 11 March (11:30am to 1:30pm) at Inverell Sporting Complex
- Gunnedah – Sunday 12 March (10:aam to 12:00pm) at Wolseley Oval
