Back-to-back flags for the Saints

INVERELL’S men’s team capped two years of dominance with a strong performance against the Tamworth Swans in the Grand Final to secure back-to-back premierships.

The Saints won the Grand Final by 34 points but a more revealing statistic that proves how strong Inverell was in the big game was the fact the Saints had 25 scoring shots on the day to just 11.

The win capped off a big day for the club who won both the men’s and women’s premierships at Varley Oval.

It was the first time Inverell had claimed the double and it was just the second time the feat was achieved in the AFL North West after Gunnedah did so back in 2020.
