Extra Time needed at Junior Grand Final

THE Under 12 Grand Final needed Extra Time to separate Inverell/Glen Innes and Gunnedah/Tamworth after the nail-biter ended in a draw at the end of four quarters.
Inverell/Glen Innes held on to a slender lead late in the last quarter but it was Gunnedah/Tamworth that was doing all the attacking and looking for a match winning goal.
Unfortunately for the Bulldogs/Roosters their hard work resulted in behinds and the final siren saw the score showing both sides on 4.5 (29).
In Extra Time which saw play extended for an additional two periods of five minutes each, both teams scored a goal each but the Inverell/Glen Innes team added a further three behinds to claim victory.
It was the beginning of a big day for Inverell/Glen Innes at Cameron Park.
The Under 14s started strongly to open up a 30-point lead by half time and then kicked a further nine goals after the main break to win comfortably by 70 points.
