Tamworth Roosters to host first North Coast team

The Tamworth Roosters will be the first U17s side to host a North Coast team, with the Sawtell/Toormina Saints travelling across the mountain on Saturday. It will be the first of twelve ‘cross conference’ matches to be played against AFL North Coast teams.

The games have been set up to give the U17s boys more matches, but not just playing the same teams over and over again. The exposure is set to strengthen our boys and the league, while continuing to grow the comp as well.

• Saturday May 22 – Tamworth Roosters v Sawtell/Toormina Saints at No. 1 Oval, Tamworth
• Saturday May 29 – Grafton Tigers v Glen Innes Celts at Ellem Oval, Grafton
• Saturday June 5 – Inverell Saints v Coffs Breakers at Varley Oval, Inverell
• Saturday June 19 – Grafton Tigers v Inverell Saints at Ellem Oval, Grafton
• Saturday June 26 – Sawtell/Toormina Saints v Tamworth Roosters at Richardson Park, Sawtell

The remaining fixtures will be played in rounds 11, 13, and 15. Keep an eye on the fixtures for these clashes.
